Chief Engineer, Parker & Associates (PAI-CE)

Parker & Associates Inc. (PAI) was established in 1986 as a rail transportation consulting firm with the mission of enhancing the technical and management capability of Clients in the ground transportation industry through the provision of excellent customer oriented service. In 2007, PAI was acquired by the Delcan Corporation. Delcan is an award winning multi-disciplinary engineering firm and provides a full range of integrated systems and infrastructure solutions focused on three primary sectors: Transportation, Information Technology and Water. Delcan has been providing services throughout North America and around the world for 55 years.

PAI¡¯s international experience spans virtually every mode of rail transportation including light rail, subway cars, airport people movers, maglev, high-speed rail and automated guideway transit.

PAI is seeking the talents, experience, and commitment of a Chief Engineer to join our Kingston, Ontario Office.

The Chief Engineer position provides overall leadership for PAI¡¯s engineering processes. The selected candidate will be responsible for identifying technical issues on a project-wide basis and developing new and innovative solutions to meet our projects¡¯ technical objectives. In addition, the Chief Engineer position is responsible for the management of technical staff, ensuring that projects are in compliance with technical, budget and schedule parameters. The selected candidate will actively participate in the development of new work at all levels, including client development, writing proposals, participating in interviews and negotiations. This position will report directly to the President.

The successful candidate shall possess the following combination of education, skills and experience:

  • P.Eng Certification or the ability to obtain certification
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering preferred
  • 15+ years of Transit and/or Rail Engineering Experience
  • Hands-on experience with systems engineering processes
  • 5 years technical leadership experience & experience managing a technical team or leading a transit or railway project
  • Proven ability to obtaining new work

The ideal candidate must also possess excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and must have the ability to give technical direction. Strong analytical and decision-making skills are requirements as well as the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Some travel is required.

Senior Electrical Engineer - Shanghai

Job description

  • Participate in project feasibility study, related technical support and preparation for bidding document.
  • To participate in Industry Building (B&I) and Non- B&I projects electrical high/low voltage system design.
  • To work closely with other disciplines on interfaces related to electrical system design and to review other discipline's design drawings for design interfaces and requirements.
  • Support estimation and proposal activities.
  • Support the procurement of electrical equipment.
  • Provide site technical support and assistant in project management if need.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or higher degree and major in Electrical Engineering;
  • Good command in English both in speaking and writing;
  • Familiar with related local GB codes and standards, as well as design software;

Job description

Responsible for the assigned project management to ensure the fulfillment of project goal with expected financial result and customer satisfaction. Develops the project plan and overlooks the implementation. Coordinates with related resources to solve the project issues. Manages project team staff.

Requirements

  • University degree or above
  • 5~10 working years as project manager both in design as well as construction phases
  • Experience with building projects with the focus on Industry/manufacturing and also non-industry
  • Experience in working in foreign/JV engineering or project management company

Tasks

  • Manage various environmental engineering contracting projects, including management of project cost, schedule, risk, quality, communication, procurement, performance, people and etc.

Experience

  • ¡µ6 years related experience, experience in water treatment engineer project management and execution highly preferred
  • Exposed to both international and domestic engineering projects highly preferred

               
Education

  • Degree holder with major in environmental engineering, water and wastewater treatment, environmental protection
  • Strong technical background highly preferred

Knowledge/Languages

  • Be responsible for project reference document filing;
  • Support work out design drawing, printing, binding and so on;
  • Organize and prepare bidding documents;
  • Translate documents and brochures;
  • Assist in water treatment engineering project management and execution.

  Experience

  • 1-3 years related experience, experience in water treatment engineer project execution highly preferred
  • Project bidding process knowledge preferred ;

Senior Process Engineer - Beijing

Job Responsibility

  • Proposal making, conceptual and detailed design for membrane treatment system (MBR, MF/UF+RO etc.);
  • Process design of the complete water treatment facilities in the project construction phase;
  • Drafting and coordinate process design activities being carried out by the project basis internally, in Design Institutes and by the other contract parties;
  • Work ing with other design disciplines to produce an integrated and value engineered project design;
  • Frequent interaction with Dutch HQs and clients in English and Chinese;

Qualification

  • At least BS degree with major in water engineering;
  • 5 years of experience on water treatment process design experienced with membrane treatment system design (at least 4 years of experience)and implementation, familiar with relevant theories, specs, characters of membrane products from main suppliers;
  • Familiarity with PRC design standards and practices, regulations, approvals of Design Institutes will be required£»
  • Independent and proactive;
  • Be an efficient communicator and problem-solver;
  • Good English in both written and speaking, skillful user of computer, familiar with normal applications such as Office, AutoCAD and so on.

Sales Project Manager (Water Unit)

Tasks

  • Develop industrial market such as steel, chemical and petro-chemical industry;

  Experience

  • 10+ years' experience in water industry;

  Experience
