Abstract:
In November 2002 the CARROUSEL® 2000 system of Shunyi District was put into operation, treating 80,000 m³/d of domestic sewage. DHV's scope of supply comprised the Process design, Equipment supply, Installation/ Commissioning of WWTP and training of operators.

Abstract:
In October 2006, the AB-CARROUSEL® for Tiger Forest & Paper Group was started, treating 25,000 m³/d (45,000 kg COD/d) of pulp and paper wastewater. DHV's scope of supply comprised process design, equipment supply, installation/ commissioning of AB-CARROUSEL® unit and training of operators.

Project name: Huaihe River Basin Pollution Control

DHV (under the name of NEDECO) was engaged to prepare modeling, develop approaches, and identify concrete measures to control municipal and industrial pollution in the river basin. The consultant established three task groups:

• Mathematical modeling (water quantity, pollution load, water quality, sediment, policy planning and strategy);
• Municipal pollution control (drainage, sewerage, waste water treatment, sludge treatment, disposal and tariffs);
• Industrial pollution control (clustering, relocation, restructuring, audits, water reduction, clean technology, end-of-pipe treatment, sectoral covenants and ISO 14,000).

The consultant's core team managed and coordinated the activities of the task groups, and determined priorities for the allocation of the national (1.3 billion USD) and international funds (among others 250 million USD of World Bank).
